Single Party Rule
The irony is thick…sorry, change that to idiocy. Massachusetts is a liberal, Democrat-friendly state. The Democrats have had majority control of the State House for as long as I can remember. Usually the people vote in a Republican governor to offset the Democrat’s stranglehold on local politics. Not so this year. Deval Patrick, that smoothest of orators from Chicago, is now Governor of Massachusetts by a wide margin. That’s fine. Most people in this state think former Governor Romney was some kind of monster, but he got this state with a massive deficit and he’s leaving it with a massive surplus…let’s see where we are when Patrick gets done spending. I will concede that Romney was only half-here most of his term, because he decided the Oval Office was his next goal, but he’d done a lot of work and had to fight against a State House that would attack just to attack because he was Republican. I’d get tired of that BS too. But what’s most idiotic (or ironic) is that so many Massachusetts citizens over the last several years have been cry-cry-crying their eyes out over the fact that we have had single-party rule at the Federal level. Hell, I am also virulently anti-single party rule and have derided the way the Fed Government has been run for years. So what’s the idiocy? Massachusetts is now SINGLE PARTY RULE! 87% majority Democrat State House, Democrat Governor, Democrat AG, Treasurer, etc., etc., etc. I guess it’s OK when it’s your party in charge of everything. I need to leave the ghetto and move out of state, because I can no longer handle the hypocrisy…that and my taxes are about to go through the roof, I’m sure. Oh, and my Second Amendment rights are about to get shit upon. Yay! Single-party rule! …Assholes.
