Cool Air

Finally, the seasons are turning into more “me friendly” areas. I appreciate the Summer on many levels, but I just can’t stand the heat, the humidity and the influx of mosquitos. I’m a wimp, I know. Fall is my time: I love the chill in the air, the leaves turning colors, the smells of composting leaves, the way the sky gets clear when the air is cold, the way the fields (if I’m lucky to drive by one - usually a golf course in these parts) get covered in dew and frost when the morning sun hits them - pretty much the whole deal.

I’m going to introduce my friends and family to a game I learned about recently: Kubb. I think I can make a set pretty easily (read: convince people I know who have power tools and skill to make one for me if I purchase the lumber), and considering how much fun we have playing games like Bocce, I think Kubb will be a winner. Plus the fact that it can be played in the snow means that I have a new winter game for the family in Vermont.

That’s pretty much all I have to say - it’s amazing how difficult it is for me to write something on this blog when I’m purposefully trying not to write things that make me angry. Oh well. My calm days are near an end anyway, so I’ll be back at my bashing soon enough. For now I’m just writing something so that the five people who read this blog know I’m still alive.
